The Artist

The Artist

Tom Reid Gomez is a contemporary sculptor who graduated with First Class Honours in Fine Art Sculpture from Glasgow School of Art in 2026.

His practice explores movement, interaction and the relationship between objects, materials and technology. Working primarily with everyday materials and simple mechanical systems, he creates visually striking, often humorous sculpture that explores ideas of call and response, cause and consequence, and the unexpected behaviours of familiar objects.

His work frequently gives inanimate objects an almost human quality, combining playful experimentation with an interest in kinetic processes and the unpredictable outcomes they produce.

Tom has been selected for RSA New Contemporaries 2027, the Royal Scottish Academy's annual exhibition showcasing emerging artists and architects from Scotland's art schools, held at the RSA Galleries in Edinburgh.

Testimonials

From a Gallery Curator

“Susan Miller’s sculptures bring an extraordinary sense of presence into any space. Her forms are both powerful and gentle, grounded and airy. Each piece reflects a rare mastery of material and an intuitive understanding of balance. Exhibiting her work has been an absolute privilege.”

From a Collector

“Living with one of Susan’s sculptures has transformed the atmosphere of my home. Her work feels alive—quiet, thoughtful, and deeply expressive. Every time I walk past it, I discover a new angle or shadow that draws me in. Truly remarkable craftsmanship.”

From a Fellow Artist

“Susan approaches sculpture with a combination of discipline and soul that is inspiring. Her ability to create harmony between curve, structure, and negative space is exceptional. Her studio practice is meticulous, and it shows in every finished piece.”

From an Exhibition Visitor

“I was struck by how emotionally resonant Susan Miller’s sculptures are. They feel both familiar and otherworldly, like they hold a story you can sense but not quite explain. Her work stays with you long after you leave the exhibition.”
